Muslim convert gets 18 years for failed suicide bombing run

A MUSLIM convert who blew himself up in a restaurant in a failed suicide attack was today jailed for life.

Nicky Reilly was handed a minimum of 18 years after accidentally setting off a home-made nail bomb in a toilet cubicle as he prepared to target dozens of innocent customers.

The 22-year-old, described as the “least cunning person ever to have been charged with terrorism“, injured only himself in the blast in May last year.

Reilly, of Plymouth, Devon, suffers from Asperger’s syndrome and has learning difficulties.

He later pleaded guilty to attempted murder and preparing an act of terrorism.

Sheer luck

Sentencing him today at the Old Bailey, Mr Justice Calvert-Smith said: “The offence of attempted murder is aggravated by the fact that it was long-planned, that it had multiple intended victims and was intended to terrorise the population of this country.

“It was sheer luck or chance that it did not succeed in its objectives.”

The court heard that Reilly decided to carry out his attack on the Giraffe restaurant in Exeter after being encouraged by others on the internet.

He had intended to run out into the packed dining area holding three bottles, filled with caustic soda, kerosene, and nails, to his stomach.

But he got stuck in the toilet as he prepared the blast, leaving one of the bottles to go off before he could leave the cubicle.

The explosion sent dozens of restaurant customers fleeing in panic and the bomber staggered out suffering serious facial injuries.

MAYBE these blonde stars traded fame and fortune for a large slice of their brains?

Paris Hilton, for instance, might fancy finding a bff in Blighty, but she should work out that Gordon Ramsey is not the Prime Minister first.

But the hotel heiress isn’t the only famous fair-header to uphold the blonde stereotype.

Check out the top 50 dumb blonde quotes below:

Ok i have been ignoring my blog for awhile now and im thinking of reviving it again.. And i'm not gonna write abt my days in OBS and mainly cuz of 2 reasons..1, i probably forgotten most of what happened in OBS (does not include the best parts of it) and 2, i'm just too damn lazy. Anyway, i'll be writing in here again real soon so pls stay tuned!

Sibu! Indian free land!

After Christmas i went to Sibu for my grandauntie's 80th bday celebration and family get together, the only problem is that i did not noe any1 there and most of them speaks mandarin and my mandarin is not that good so yea. If you are wondering why i am not posting abt christmas, its because nothing really interesting happened this year same as the last.  Anyway, we left for sibu early in the morning to get to the airport and we got there.......im not sure when cuz i forgot..hehe...we later checked into the kingwoodhotel and after that, my uncle's nephew (not me another nephew) took us out for lunch. After that we went back to the hotel and laterin the evening we went for the dinner which was in our hotel. i honestly did not know that i had that big a family. We had a big dinner with karaoke and such and i met family members i didnt know. The next day my grand auntie took us out for breakfast to eat some dish that you cant get here in KL. It tasted something like Char Kuey Teow but it wasnt so yea. Then we went to the airport and we went home. Thats right i only went to sibu for one night only which kinda sucked as i thought that we would be there a wee bit longer.

Peneng! Food paradise and fat-wannabe's destination.

On the last day of the OB course, and as usual i was one of the last to be picked up. Anyways, after i was picked up by my mom and auntie and uncle, we went to have a big lunch in Sitiawan with some of my mom's cousins. After lunch we went straight to Penang with a dead battery in my phone and no charger so i could not callor read any messages from newly made friends at OB which sucked. Back to the subject, we checked into the G Hotel which is on gurney drive and after that we went for our first dinner in penang which was also on gurney drive at that famous hawker place at gurney drive where every single thing sucked. Nothing at that hawker place really sucked so bad so please do not eat at gurney drive unless its at Bali Hai, that place looks good. Anyways, on the next day, i woke up late cuz mom kept me up late because of her snoring which means i missed breakfast. For lunch we went to penang road and we had asam laksa, char kuey teow, cendol, pai tee, and popiah at this restaurant where all the hawkers are really arrogant especially the asam laksa guy but the asam laksa is DAMN good!!! Then after that we walked down a few blocks and had more char kuey teow! Then after that we went back to the hotel to have a rest and then we went to dinner with a colleage of my mom's at a seafood restaurant. The food there is "okay". Its not the best but its not the worst.  The next day, we went back to penang road for more char kuey teow! YEA!!! HOORAY FOR CHAR KUEY TEOW! then we went home! btw here are some pictures in penang and more of them in my facebook. Just search for me in facebook with my email which is dhaaren_93@hotmail.com

Eat here....best char kuey teow made by the dude at the bottom
